Immunisation & Vaccination

Be protected from disease

Immunisation is an easy way to protect you and your family from harmful disease by stopping the spread of preventable disease.

Immunisation is sometimes called vaccination.

Vaccination is the term used for getting the vaccine needle or taking the vaccine medicine.

Immunisation refers to the process of both getting the vaccine and becoming immune to the disease following vaccination.

What to expect

You can get your immunisation at any Congress clinic. A doctor, nurse or Aboriginal health practitioner will give you the vaccine through a needle.

Your doctor can give you specific advice about your own or your child’s health, including what diseases you or your child should be immunised for.

Transport

Transport can be provided to and from your appointment. Please let us know at the time of booking your appointment.
