Gap Road Clinic Changes
Congress is proud to introduce two new exciting changes to our Gap Road Clinic.
From Monday 14 August a new Model of Care and a dedicated Northside team will be introduced to our Gap Road Clinic.
Under Congress’ new model of care, clients see an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or Nurse before seeing a doctor.
Our Aboriginal Health Practitioners and Nurses are trained in:
- taking blood
- immunisations
- wound care
- chronic disease checks and management
- taking and interpreting blood pressure
- adult and child health checks
- sexual health screening and treatment
The new model of care has been successfully implemented in our Sadadeen and Larapinta Clinics and enables clients to have more time for comprehensive health care with the Doctor.
New Clinic Team
In preparation for the new Northside Clinic’s opening, a new dedicated team will be established in the Gap Road Clinic to see clients living in the Northside area of town. A Northside transport service will also be introduced making it easier for clients to access the clinic.
