Congress town and Amoonguna clinics reaccredited

After months of preparation, Congress town and Amoonguna clinics have been reaccredited with Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) accreditation.

AGPAL is a national award of accreditation, demonstrating commitment to quality and safety within a clinical practice.

Achieving accreditation is a major achievement for any clinical practice and a clear demonstration that Congress Clinics are delivering on our commitment to optimise health care for our clients and communities.

To achieve accreditation, our CQI team and Managers has worked tireless over a 12 month period to update policies, procedures and facilities to meet the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for general practices, in quality care and risk management.

The Amoonguna Health Service is Congress’ first remote clinic to achieve renewal of accreditation, with remaining remote sites undergoing inspection by AGPAL assessors this month.
