Congress is in the process of finalising recruitment for its new Link Up service, with the service expected to commence this month.
The Link Up service will support the healing journeys of Aboriginal people who have been separated from their families and cultures through forced removal, fostering, adoption and/or institutionalisation.
The service will focus on delivering a culturally sensitive and confidential research, reunion and cultural wellbeing service to affected people and families.
The program will sit within Congress’ Social and Emotional Wellbeing Service (SEWB). The team will consist of a Team Leader, a male and female Case Worker and an Aboriginal Family Support Worker, with clinical psychology services provided through the SEWB therapeutic team.
The service is funded by Prime Minister and Cabinet.
