Optimising health outcomes for Ntaria community
A Memorandum of Understanding outlining the key responsibilities of Congress and Central Australia Health Service (CAHS) in the delivery of health services to the Ntaria community, was formally signed with Western Aranda Health Aboriginal Corporation (WAHAC) board at the WAHAC board meeting held on Tuesday 4 October.
CAHS CEO, Sue Korner, Congress CEO, Donna Ah Chee and Chair of WAHAC, Marion Swift attended the WAHAC board meeting and signed the MoU.
Over the last twelve months, the Congress Ntaria Health Service has undergone a significant expansion in staffing, with the employment of a full-time GP, Midwife, Male Health Nurse, AOD Worker and a Trainee Aboriginal Health Practitioner. These practitioners compliment the Nurse Manager, Chronic Disease Nurse and Child Health Nurse. The service is currently recruiting an ANFPP Home Nurse Visitor, Aboriginal Community Worker and Administrative Officer position.
