Applying for a Job at Congress
Congress requires all applicants to address the Essential Selection Criteria contained in the Job Description for the position. The Job Description may be found by clicking on the “Detailed Job Description & Selection Criteria” button on the page dedicated to the specific job you are interested in. Applications which do not address the Selection Criteria will not be considered. We also ask that applicants supply a Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV).

What should I include on my Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)?
You should list your contact and relevant personal details, education and training qualifications, employment history and any other information relevant to the position.

What references should I supply?
List of Referees - please provide the names and business hours contact details of three recent referees who can verify your claims in relation to the selection criteria and employment.

How does the selection process work ?
Immediately following the closing date for each position the interview panel grades all applications and then a short-list is drawn up.

Short-listed applicants are then notified of interview times. Interviews are conducted and a decision is made which must then be approved by the Directorate.

Finally, both the successful and unsuccessful applicants are notified of the decision. This means that the selection process can take up to four weeks to complete from the close of applications.

You will not be notified that your applications have been received. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified when the selection process is completed.
