Childcare Programs (AMPE KENHE APMERE)
Program description
Ampe Kenhe Apmere, also known as Congress Child Care is a Commonwealth
funded, fully licensed and accredited Multi-Functional Aboriginal Childrens
Service.
Services include
The Program
Care is provided in three separate areas of the centre;
* Babies room
* 6 months to 2 years old
* Toddlers room
* 2 years to 3 years
* Over 3s room
* Three years old until school age
The service has a commitment to high quality, culturally appropriate child
care. The staff are trained in all areas of development of children and
provide a wide range of experiences based on this knowledge.
Parents are encouraged to participate in the program through the parent
committee or by coming in and visiting, telling stories, singing or dancing,
painting etc. They are invited to share different aspects of their culture
with the children and staff.
